I am a teacher educator and researcher in applied linguistics with a specialization in computer-assisted language learning (CALL). My research interests include second/foreign language teaching, hypermedia design, courseware evaluation, web-based language learning, computer-mediated communication, e-learning, digital literacy, mobile learning, human-robot interaction and language teacher education.

I teach Applied Linguistics & TESOL courses and supervise higher degree research students in the Faculty of Business, Education, Law and Arts at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ).

I am currently the President of the Asia-Pacific Association for Computer-Assisted Language Learning (APACALL), Director of the Technology-Enhanced Language Learning Research Network (TELLRN), Co-Chair of the Globalization and Localization in Computer-Assisted Language Learning (GLoCALL) Conference and Editor of the APACALL Book Series.
