Celebrating 10 Years 2001 - 2010
- Reflection on CALL
APACALL members are invited to submit a reflective entry on an interesting story or anecdote about CALL from 5 May to 30 June 2010. Any topic is OK as long as it is related to CALL. The length of the entry must be between 200 and 300 words. You can submit your entry as many times as you like. At the end of the entry period, two best entries will be chosen and the authors of the best entries will receive a prize (e.g., a copy of the APACALL Book II). Please post your entry to the 'Reflections' area of the 'APACALL Forum'. -- Completed!
- Celebration meeting
A celebration meeting will be held during the APACALL AGM at the GLoCALL 2010 Conference on the 2nd of December 2010. APACALL members who come to the meeting will receive a small gift. -- Completed!

Internet-Based Language Learning: Pedagogies and Technologies
This book provides an up-to-date view of the field of CALL for applied linguists, researchers, language teachers and teacher trainers. It explores various aspects of Internet-based language learning (IBLL) and presents the findings of recent work in IBLL. Particularly, it looks into Web-based language learning, course management systems, digital storytelling, online dictation exercises, Web authoring projects, Web-based portfolios and blogging.
Computer-Assisted Language Learning: Concepts, Contexts, and Practices
This book explores various facets of CALL and presents the findings of recent work in CALL that are of
direct relevance to second language teaching and learning. It addresses issues such as the creation of online
learning environments and systems, the importance of cultural contexts, the roles of language teachers, the use
of computer-mediated communication (CMC) in teacher development, the impact of collaboration and interaction in
CMC environments on second language development and the study of feedback on learners' pronunciation and writing.
